Taking Creative Breaks with Katherine Tozduman

Episode 30

Do you take breaks during your work day?

In corporate, I had to take mandatory breaks during the day but as entrepreneurs, we can forget to give ourselves a break.

My guest today, Katherine Tozduman, saw the need to help entrepreneurs take breaks so she created her business to help do just that.

Katherine spent 15 years as an apparel merchant before starting her own business in 2017. Female/ Latina lead DIY business expanded during the pandemic offering more than just mobile craft events in NJ but also gave her and her team the ability to expand to corporate team building on a virtual level. Her corporate experience has given her the ability to connect creatively by having fun and ensuring events are therapeutic but keeping in mind "together we grow" as a team. Katherine holds a certificate in horticultural therapy from New York Botanical garden. Spends her spare time with her husband and 3 pups outdoors.

In this episode, we cover:

  • What a crafty kit is
  • The importance of taking breaks
  • The difference between a creative break and a regular break
  • Why you don’t have to be crafty to take a break
